How We Started!
Herman's Bakery has been owned and operated by the Herman Family since 1923. Our first location, Harry's Bakery was in Highlandtown, owned and operated by Mr. Herman's Father. We opened our second location in Dundalk, Baltimore County in 1958, which became the Bakery you all know and love. Over the Years, we have had a total of 7 operating Locations, throughout the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.
We specialize in custom made decorated cakes, dessert cakes, strawberry shortcakes, pastries, pies, donuts, Danish, buns, European ethnic holiday desserts, and many other products. Our donuts are still made from scratch every day, the old fashioned way!

The Bakery is now Operated by the 3rd, 4th and 5th Herman's Generation.
As of 2023, we are celebrating 100 Years in Business! The Business is being run by Mr Herman's Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. You won't be disappointed by the Welcoming Atmosphere of a Family owned Mom and Pop Small Business.
